This session is perfect if you’re comfortable on blue trails and ready to start getting your wheels off the ground. We’ll cover the fundamentals of jumping and dropping safely, including body position, bike handling, and technique for smooth landings. You’ll practice on progressive features, building confidence and control every step of the way.

  • ✅ Confident intermediate riders, aged 15+
  • ✅ Comfortable on blue trails, looking to develop air skills
  • ✅ No huge gaps or big drops – this is all about progression!

This clinic is all about refining technique and taking your skills to the next level. After a quick recap of fundamentals, we’ll move onto larger jumps and drops, focusing on control, commitment, and safe landings. Expect expert coaching and plenty of practice on Kersbrook’s bigger features (weather permitting).

  • ✅ Strong intermediate to advanced riders, aged 15+
  • ✅ Confident on blue and some black trails

National Parks and Wildlife Service SA – Park of the Month

National Parks and Wildlife Service SA are showcasing Kinchina Conservation Park in the Park of the Month program for August! To celebrate, we are offering beginner mountain biking skills clinics on August 27.

Beginner MTB Skills Clinic

This clinic will teach participants bike handling & control skills in a 2 hour session led by Head for the Hills Coaches. The course will cover basic mountain biking techniques and include a guided ride so participants can put their new skills to use!

Age:10 – 14 years
Ability:Beginner

Date & Time: Saturday August 27:
  • 12pm – 2pm or
  • 2:30pm – 4:30pm
Age: 10 – 14 years
Cost: $20 per rider
Bike & Helmet Hire Available: $20 per session (Please contact us to arrange)

Topics Covered

The beginner clinic is designed for riders with little to no mountain biking experience. We will cover topics such as:

  • Balance & control skills
  • Correct body position
  • Braking techniques
  • Navigating small obstacles

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Riders must be able to ride on 2 wheels confidently to complete this clinic.
  • Participants who wish to use their own bike should ensure that their bike has gears, large diameter wheels (24″ or above) and is in good working order.
