More Information

What to Bring

  • Your bike and helmet in good working order
  • A water bottle or hydration backpack
  • Snacks to help keep energy levels up!
  • A packed lunch
  • Any relevant medications
  • Weather dependent considerations (sunscreen, rain jacket, change of clothes etc.)

Additional Protective Gear

Riders are encouraged to consider any additional protective equipment that may help them feel comfortable and confident during the session. Additional protection can provide extra assurance if you are planning to challenge yourself and may allow you to push your riding further without significantly increasing your risk of injury. Ultimately, riders are responsible for choosing the level of protection that best matches their skills, goals and comfort.

We recommend participants consider wearing the following additional protective gear:

  • Full finger gloves
  • Knee guards

What Sort of Bike?

Riders will need a mountain bike in good working order, with functioning brakes and gears. Bikes should be suited to perform well on moderately steep downhill terrain – cross country, trail, enduro or downhill bikes are ideal. Entry-level styled bikes will suffice if ridden with care. Bikes may be either hard-tail or dual suspension types. The ends of the handlebars must be covered with handlebar plugs for safety. If you’re unsure whether your bike is suitable, feel free to contact us.

Upon request, we can also make stops at Crafers, Verdun and Woodside.

Riders may alternatively be dropped off and picked up directly at the Fox Creek Bike Park upper car park (map here) at 10:20am and 2:30pm. Please let us know via email if you plan to use this option.
